Monthly Overview! (August 2013)

This month has been hard for me, as far as school starting on the 7th and Francesca leaving. I have not had much time or inspiration to post, so this might be a bit short.

The first post in August was called "Chia". It was an extension of my previous post where I made a mug plant. It just showed how it had grown.

The second post was "Goodbyes." This was a very emotional post for me, and it was hard for me to write. This was about my best friend moving away.

The third (and last wut) post I made this month was "Pears n' hay" and was about my mountain house. It was pretty short n' sweet.

Sorry for the lack of posts this month! I will try to post more in September.

Goodbyes

Today at about 9 am, my very best friend and her father got into a UHaul and pulled out of their driveway, leaving me, and NC in the dust. They are currently heading to Florida, and I will barely be able to see her. I am quite upset about this.

Yes, I know, my hair is great in these pictures.

Closing the gate!

Me and her and crying

Grumpy to go

Last minute pictures!

 Waving goodbye

In other news: I am growing more Chia to harvest!

I have not been feeling particularly creative lately, so it may be a little while till I post again.

Till then,

Downtown with Francesca

Yesterday me and my BFF Francesca walked downtown together!

We were hoping to go to our favorite store, Ashworths, but since it was closed we decided to go to the local bakery!

I got a (DELICIOUS) carrot cake cupcake and Francesca got a coke, so we just sat outside with Kali and enjoyed the evening.

After that we went home and hopped in the pool!

I think we both had a pleasant evening overall.

Performance!

Today I went to the North Carolina Museum of Art to perform some songs.
My friend Francesca, My sister and My friend Erin came with.

My sister went first. She sang "Braille" By Regina Spektor, (I love Regina so much) "Folding Chair" By Regina Spektor, "Landfill" By Daughter, "Laughing With" by Regina Spektor and "Fireflies of Montreal" By laurena segura.  She did pretty fantastically!

Another guy went, who sang some country songs, and then I went next! First I sang an original Ukulele song, called "It's okay" (which you can find on my youtube channel) then "Turning tables" by Adele. I also sang "One and Only" and "Rolling in the deep" by Adele. I think I did pretty well.
Some other pretty fantastic people went, and I think it was a pretty good experience for all of us. I am glad I got to perform.
