Summer Solstice 2013!

It is the Solstice today! For us Pagans, that is a big celebration, but tonight we just decided to take it easy. We had a pretty normal day. We went to the yarn store to buy crochet hooks (I am looking forward to learning how to crochet!) and yarn, and then went grocery shopping. At the end of the day we decided we would hike up to the top of the mountain on our property to watch the sun set.

It was beautiful.

It was so nice to just relax and be able to watch the sun set. The moon was huge. Other than watching we.......

Did some pirate role play

Did some singing

Did some sibling bickering

And did some modeling

We even made Indie album covers!

We ended up having a really great time. I hope your solstice was as great as mine!

Performance!

Today I went to the North Carolina Museum of Art to perform some songs.
My friend Francesca, My sister and My friend Erin came with.

My sister went first. She sang "Braille" By Regina Spektor, (I love Regina so much) "Folding Chair" By Regina Spektor, "Landfill" By Daughter, "Laughing With" by Regina Spektor and "Fireflies of Montreal" By laurena segura.  She did pretty fantastically!

Another guy went, who sang some country songs, and then I went next! First I sang an original Ukulele song, called "It's okay" (which you can find on my youtube channel) then "Turning tables" by Adele. I also sang "One and Only" and "Rolling in the deep" by Adele. I think I did pretty well.
Some other pretty fantastic people went, and I think it was a pretty good experience for all of us. I am glad I got to perform.
